I'm always scared to paint on bare pony plastic, since I have no way of covering up a mistake. Of course, many talented custom makers have painted exquisitely on non-repainted ponies for years, so I should just stop being a spaz and work on my brush control.

Accessories are sculpted with Apoxie Sculpt. Painted with Liquitex acrylics and sealed with Mod Podge Matte and Testors Dullcote spray. Eyes and accessories are topped off with Liquitex gloss medium. Rehaired with Dollyhair and boil-styled.

I am no longer offering custom pony commissions.

What did you use to dye the hair? I'm thinking of making a custom, but I need to use luna as bait because she has wings and a horn.

I removed all the hair from the original pony and replaced it with some i had ordered from dollyhair.com. It's very hard to dye the pony's original hair a different color, unless it's black or something.

there are tutorials for rehairing ponies that go waaaay back. CustomAnon has some good ones.
